Certification "Guarantee Fair and Solidarity Tourism"
Endallah commits to apply fair trade principles and to maximize the positive impact of tourism on the local communities. Thanks to these commitments, all of our trips are certified « Guarantee Fair and Solidarity Tourism » by the Association of Fair and Solidarity Tourism (ATES – French organization). The objective of this certification is to prove to the travellers that each trip is compliant with the Charter of Fair and Solidarity Tourism.
All the criteria and the charter can be found on the organization website (only available in French so far).
Our top 10 commitments
We give on average 3% of the price of your trips to fund projects that are chosen and managed by locals to improve the living conditions of the village who are hosting our travellers.
We only work with local people and we give them a fair salary, decided after an open discussion that ensure them good living conditions and development opportunities.
We mostly book accommodations that are owned and managed by local people, that are involved in community development projects and respectful to their employees.
We support the development of fair tourism in remote regions for a more equal distribution of tourism incomes and we make sure to include women as much as possible in the tourism activity.
We build a sustainable and equal to equal relationships with our partners: trips are built together, objectives are set together and tourism activity (price decisions, choice of suppliers, recruitment…) is managed in close collaboration
immersion & respect
We make sure our travellers have enough time to exchange with local people in the respect of their traditions, history, culture and private life.
We empower as much as possible the local communities. Each homestay is designed and managed by the hosting family. We help them with micro loan if needed, but we do not directly fund the development of tourism activities in the villages.
We limit our impact on the environment and we use as much as possible local material and ressources, especially for building the accommodations in the villages.
We limit our group size to 12 people and we discuss about the maximum number of people hosted in each village together with the local community not to distrurb their daily life.
We raise awareness among our travellers and local partners about fair and solidarity tourism through trainings and discussions.
Beyond our commitments to the local communities, we commit to financial transparency with our travellers so they know where their money is going when they book a trip with us.
